Warehouse Transfer Receiving Exceptions

It is possible that the Quantity Shipped (within Acclamare) from the shipping warehouse is not the same quantity that the receiving warehouse physically receives. This could be the case if the shipping warehouse physically shipped a different quantity that what the shipping user indicated when posting the Transfer Shipment. A discrepancy could also occur if the carrier lost a package.

In either case, the receiving warehouse should ALWAYS process Warehouse Transfer Receiving for the SAME quantity as indicated as having been shipped. After the receipt has been posted, users at both warehouses would perform Inventory Adjustments within their own warehouse to adjust quantity for any discrepancies.

In the case of the receiving warehouse physically receiving LESS than quantity shipped, the receiving warehouse needed to perform a Quantity Adjustment "decrease" for the item, and the shipping warehouse needs to perform a Quantity Adjustment "increase" for the item.

In the case of the receiving warehouse physically receiving MORE than quantity shipped, the receiving warehouse needed to perform a Quantity Adjustment "increase" for the item, and the shipping warehouse needs to perform a Quantity Adjustment "decrease" for the item.

In the event the receiving warehouse accidentally or purposely posts a transfer receipt for less than the quantity shipped or excludes some lines entirely, the Warehouse Transfer will be in a status that that will prevent additional receiving or editing of the transfer.
