Altering BTO Quantity after Partially Shipped

Scenario may exist whereby a BTO Kit Order has been built for a partial quantity, the sales order has shipped that partial quantity, and user now desires to close the Sales Order Line and BTO Kit Order short. Shown below are three scenarios listing the actions to be taken and the result.

Scenario 1

Sales Order Line and BTO are for 2 Ea. 1 Ea has been built on BTO and 1 Ea shipped on Sales Order. User desires to close the Sales Order Line and BTO Kit Order short at 1 Ea.

Solution:

1) Acces the Sales Order Line Detail. The line will read Quantity: 2, Invoiced :1

2) In the Cancelled field, you will see a "-" icon which when hovered over reads "Cancel Remaining Quantity". Click icon to cancel the 1 ea remaining qty.

After existing the sales order, the results will be:

Sales Order Line: Quantity: 1 Ea, Invoiced: 1 Ea

Sales Order Line Detail: Quantity 2 Ea, Invoiced: 1 Ea, Cancelled : 1 Ea

Kit Order: Quantity: 1 Ea, Built 1 Ea, Kit Order Status: Completed.

Scenario 2

Sales Order Line and BTO are for 3 Ea. 1 Ea has been built on BTO and 1 Ea shipped on Sales Order. An additional 1 Ea has been built on the BTO Order and is committed on the Sales Order Line Detail but not yet invoiced. User desires to close the Sales Order Line and BTO Kit Order short at 1 Ea.

Solution:

1) Acces the Sales Order Line Detail. The line will read Quantity: 3, Invoiced :1 Committed: 1

2) In the Cancelled field, you will see a "-" icon which when hovered over reads "Cancel Remaining Quantity". Click icon to cancel the 1 ea remaining qty.

This results in:

Kit Order read Ordered: 2 Ea, Built: 2 Ea, Kit Order Status: Complete

Sales Order Line Quantity: 2 Ea, Invoiced: 1 ea

Sales Order Line Detail: Quantity: 3 Ea, Invoiced: 1 Ea, Committed: 1 Ea, Cancelled: 1 Ea.

You Noe need to deal with the reducing the Committed as the customer does not desire to take delivery of this.

3) In the Sales order Line Detail, not set the Committed to 0.

This will close out the Sales Order (Line Detail, Line, and Order).

4) Optional: If the components of the 1 Ea built finished item can be placed back into stock, the user must now use Kit Disassembly for 1 Ea to perform this step.

The common step in both scenarios is that the Kit Order quantities need to be updated to reflect a decrease in the quantity. This can only be accomplished by using the "Cancel Remaining Quantity" from the Sales Order Line Detail. And in the second scenario where by a quantity has already been built and committed to the sales order, it is imperative that the Cancel Remaining Quantity is performed PRIOR TO the decommitting of the committed quantity. Not doing so will leave the Kit Order in "Complete"
