When a sales order line has not been fully shipped, you can elect to cancel the backordered quantity. If you desire to track cancellation activity, Acclamare provides a column for that in the sales order line. To place the column into your grid, right-click on the grid header row and open Column Chooser. Drag "Reason for Canceled Quantity" into the sales order grid.
The column will accept free-form information or you may select pre-defined notes from the drop-down list. To pre-define notes, go to File Maintenance - Accts Recv - Sales Order Cancel Notes. Click "New", add the new note, and then click "Save".
